application methods
The pesticide application method you choose depends on the nature and habits of the target pest, the properties of the pesticide, the suitability of the application equipment, and the cost and efficiency of alternative methods. Your choice is often predetermined by one or more of these factors. Follow label direction for volume recommendations and application rates based on the pest to be controlled and utilize appropriate application tips on equipment.
What is Abamectin?
Abamectin is a mixture of nerve poisons known as avermectins, containing more than 80% avermectin B1a and less than 20% avermectin B1b. These two components, B1a and B1b have very similar biological and toxicological properties.
How does abamectin work? (Mode of Action)
Abamectin works by interrupting the nervous system of the insects. Abamectin will paralyze susceptible pests causing them to stop feeding and eventually die. Abamectin is a slower acting pesticide which allows for ants and other insects to travel back to the nest and spread the pesticide to the colony.
Keep out of reach of children.
Always check the label for warnings and instructions for use.
